Montana and the movie,"River Runs Through It"Dennis Han & Jeemin Han

Movie Clip (2:44 sec)

Short description of the movie:

"River Flows Through It" is about brothers living in State of Montana, and how they lived with beautiful sceneries of nature that Montana has,
such as trees, river, and sky. The movie takes place in Montana, especially near rivers.

Quote From the Movie:

“Like many fly fishermen in western Montana where the summer days are almost Arctic in length, I often do not start fishing until the cool of the evening. Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise. Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of those rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters.”

- Quote by Narrator (Norman) of River Runs Through It.

Importance of this movie:
The importance of this movie is that it lets people from outside of Montana know the beauty. Also, there is a special purpose to make people heed the importance of the rivers in Montana, so that the rivers can be saved from pollution and other things.

Hungry Horse Dam
The Hungry Horse Dam was built in 1953. It is Montana's highest structure and the 11th largest dam in United States all together. It is located in South Fork of Flathead river. The purpose of its construction was to prevent spring flood on the Columbia and Flathead rivers. The dam construction made water easily accessible in the wintertime too because it reserved water in summer. The Hungry Horse Dam got its name because there were two horses that wandered off in the winter of 1990-01. They were covered with snow and suffered from hunger. Much treatment was needed to bring them back healthy. Because of these horses, the mountain got its name of Hungry Horse.
